In Memoriam - Star Newland
She created the Domestic Harmony Awareness Initiative which led to her "Just Say Yes to Domestic Harmony" stickers which are very popular, and in place on all Hawaii County buses and Hawaii County police cars. Star created the Cetacean Commonwealth, PlanetPuna.com, initiated sending Humpback sounds to space in Whales Sing to the Stars, and the concept of the Interspecies Concert, and Bee Buddies, among many other concepts and creations. She envisioned and worked diligently toward a world where the dolphins and whales would be reintegrated into our societies as the sentient wise beings they are. Star called this process The Delphic Tradition Brought Forward and that begins "the great oneness"
Star was expert in natural and water birthing issues and promoted gentle birth, water birth, pre-birth dolphin contact and dolphin attended birth. So far we have 26 babies with pre-birth dolphin contact and all the births were natural and with zero complications.
Star, John & Toni Lilly concluded that if we could birth human babies and dolphin babies together and raise them together, then the dolphin and humans children would solve the communication issues spontaneously. Four of the pre-birth dolphin contact babies were making clicks and whistles as some of their first sounds and some of those babies are closely connected to the dolphins, as if by telepathy, thus confirming Star and the Lilly's conjectures! This continuing work stands as a tribute to Star's immense efforts and is continuing.
Star's colleague Dr. Michael Hyson will be giving a memorial to Star during the opening evening Blessing ceremony. For more information: www.PlanetPuna.com
In one of the stars
I shall be living
In one of them
I shall be laughing
And so it will be as if ALL the stars were laughing
When you look at the sky at night.
